Mr. Albert E. "Zeke" Frost, age 86, of Hart, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011, at Cherry Blossom Manor in Hart. He was born December 24, 1924, in Shelby to Eugene and Bernice (Baron) Frost. A 1943 graduate of Shelby High School, he was employed at his father's garage, Frost's Garage, in Shelby. He was later employed as an auto mechanic by MoZart Chevrolet and then retired from Hodges Buick and Pontiac of Hart. Following his service in the US Navy during World War II, he married Violet Fenton in Shelby on January 22, 1949. He was a member of Hart VFW Post 1329 and Hart DAV Post. Zeke enjoyed family life and was an avid watcher of televised sports.
Albert is survived by his wife, Violet L. Frost; two sons, Matt (Imelda) Frost of Allen, TX and Brion Frost of Grand Rapids; one brother, Ronald Frost of Shelby; three grandchildren, Jennifer Ann Frost, Julie Ann Sabater, Augie May Tyner, all of Allen, TX; great granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Tyner; sister-in-law, Jeanette Lipps of Hart; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, William Joseph Frost in 1959; sister, Ellen Frost; and step-mother, Bernice Rouse.
The funeral service for Mr. Frost will be Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at 11:00 am at Mears United Methodist Church in Mears with Rev. Ken Vanderlaan officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at King Funeral Home. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Mears United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
