Mrs. Alberta A. McAllister, age 92, died Friday, April 6, 2007. She was born February 2, 1915 in Philadelphia, PA to Herman and Bertha (Wierauch) Giese. Alberta was united in marriage to Jay McAllister, who preceded her in death on June 27, 1991. She was employed in the office of Detroit Edison and attended the Mears United Methodist Church. Alberta is survived by her brother, Karl Giese of Hart; nieces and nephews, Shirley Giese of Mears, Karen (Leonard) Ervin of Muskegon, Robert Giese of Mears and Daniel (Mercedes) Giese of San Diego, CA; sister in law, JoAnn Erdman of Mears; step-daughter, Janice DuPuis of Pontiac, MI. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Giese on February 10, 1980 and a sister, Dorothy Lewis on March 19, 1992. The Funeral Service for Alberta will be held Monday, April 9, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Mears United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ken Vanderlaan officiating. Interment in Mears Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Mears United Methodist Church.
