Alice Jean Amstutz, 76, of Hart, was taken home by her Lord and Savior on Easter morning, April 21, 2019, at her home in Hart. Alice was born July 01, 1942, in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Virgil and Gladys (Franklin) Fiscus.

After graduating from high school, Alice went to Browns Business College where she obtained her Comptometer Operator degree. To save you time googling, the comptometer was the first commercial key-driven calculator.

Alice married Paul Kolosci in 1966 and they welcomed their only child, Paul Daniel Kolosci in 1967. When her husband passed away three months later, she raised their son on her own until she moved to Hart and married Leonard Amstutz, who was a single father of three girls.

Alice later became a Girl Scout, Brownie, and Cub Scout Leader. She was an animal lover and she enjoyed reading, creating her own greeting cards, visiting with friends, seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, music, traveling, and helping others. She was a great baker and her fried chicken put Colonel Sanders to shame.

Alice is survived by: her son, Dan Kolosci; stepdaughter, Randi (Chuck) Lyons; sisters, Pat (Neil) Charlson and Wanda Jo Jones; brother, Bill (Ada) Fiscus;  grandchildren, Garrett Amstutz, Logan Amstutz, Chris Contreras, Jami (Krista) Contreras; and great-grandchildren, Bay Contreras and Sylas Contreras.

Alice was preceded in death by: her parents, and her husbands, Paul Kolosci and Leonard Amstutz; and step daughters, Janet Amstutz and Susan Anstutz.

Memorial Services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 28, 2019 at St. James Episcopal Church, 82 S. Wythe Street Pentwater, MI 49449, with Fr. Steven Bartlett officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of services at the church.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Lakeshore Animal Friends or Crystal Valley Care Fund.
