Ms. Buchnius passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the Bay County Medical Care Facility at the age of 92. The daughter of the late Anton and Constance (Martinkus) Buchnius was born August 1, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois. Alice retired as a banker from the Lakeshore National Bank in Chicago and enjoyed shopping, working in her flower garden and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Ms. Buchnius is survived by her sister, Rose Youngstrom; nieces and nephews, David (Michelle) Youngstrom, Sandra (Mike) Niemiec, Dr. Pamala (Steve) Knysz and Brenda (Ray) Hindman; great nieces and nephews, Ashley Flood, Andrew Youngstrom, Abby Youngstrom, Julie Hamlton, Justin Knysz, Jessica Gilman, Carissa Enriquez and Rachel Hindman. In addition to her parents Alice was preceded in death by her step brother and sister-in-law, Stanley (Helen) Rudis and her brother-in-law, Robert Youngstrom.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 26, 2021, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 316 South Peach Street, Hart, MI 49420. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gregory Catholic Church in Hart, Michigan or the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
