Mrs. Alice Carlson, age 82, of Hart, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014. She was born April 16, 1932, in Elbridge Township, MI to James and Corinne (Comly) Makin. After the death of her first husband David Dodds, Alice married Vern Carlson. Together they owned and operated their family farm for many years. Alice was a member of the Hart United Methodist Church.

Alice is survived by her children, Linda (James) Merten, David (Connie) Dodds, Brenda (Kenneth) Malburg, Michael (Debbie) Carlson, Paul (Danielle Vittone) Carlson; one sister, Helen Johnson; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Carlson will be Friday, December 19, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hart United Methodist Church with Pastor Rebecca Wieringa officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at King Funeral Home in Hart and again on Friday morning one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held in the spring at Hart Cemetery. The family requests that any memorials be directed to the donor's choice.
