Galinski
February 21, 1940 – September 27, 2024
Alice Jean Galinski, 84, of Ludington died Friday, September 27, 2024, at Corewell Health Ludington Hospital. She was born February 21, 1940 in Ludington, the daughter of William and Alice (Abair) Anderson, and sister to William "Bill", all who proceeded her in death.
Alice was a Ludington High School and Michigan State graduate and a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority and AAUW, which she stayed active in for many years. She was a medical technologist working at the Children's Hospital of Michigan, and Detroit Medical Center, where she retired from after 20 years of service. Alice volunteered at the Detroit Institute of Art for many years. She was an avid tennis player and won several club championships. She also enjoyed skiing and one of her and her son's most memorable trips was to Austria and skiing a 13,000 foot glacier. One of her favorite places was the State Park in Ludington. Later in her retirement, she and Ray moved back to Ludington, where they enjoyed domestic and international travel, as well as fly fishing.
Alice is survived by her husband Ray Galinski and family, and son Brian Jackson. She also leaves behind many lifelong friends whom Alice considered to be family.
Visitation will be held from 12-1 PM, Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Pere Marquette Chapel, Ludington, followed by a procession to Lakeview Cemetery where graveside services will be held at approximately 1:20 PM with Pastor Ken Tabor officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Corewell Health Hospice or the Ludington High School Athletic Department.
