Obituary

Mr. Andreas Heath, 77, of Pentwater and Roscommon, Michigan, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon. He was born June 14, 1933 in Midland, Michigan to Sheldon and Mary (Soderberg) Heath. He married Elaine Deckert in August 1955 in Detroit and she preceded him in death in February 2001. He married Katee English August 4, 2001 in Lapeer, Michigan. Mr. Heath was a hospital administrator for the State of Michigan before retiring in 1984 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church in Fountain Hills, Arizona, and also attended the Pentwater United Methodist Church. He was a deacon in the Presbyterian Church and served on sessions in the church. He was active in Big Brothers, Big Sisters and had served as president of Men's Fellowship for various churches.

Mr. Heath is survived by his wife, Katee of Pentwater; three children, Greg (Carol) Heath of Kentwood, Dan (Deb) Heath and their children, Chris and Rick of Phoenix, Arizona, and Brian (Becky) Heath of Kentwood; step-children, Lee (Linda) Goldner of South Haven, Cathy (Tim) Zeeman of Lapeer, Nancy (Rich) Arnold of Grand Blanc, and Larry (Joni) Goldner of Montague; four grandchildren, Lauren, Olivia, Monica and David Heath; 10 step-grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; sister, Nida O'Dell of Midland; two sisters-in-law, Doris Heath of Naples, Florida, and Margo English of Clearwater, Florida; two brothers-in-law, Jack McKelvey and Gerry English of Midland. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine and his brother, Ted Heath.

A memorial service for Mr. Heath will be Thursday, November 11 at 11 a.m. at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Pentwater with Pastor Harris Hoekwater officiating. Visitation is set for one hour prior to the service at the church. For a lasting memorial to Mr. Heath, the family asks that you consider the Higgins Lake Foundation, Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church or the Centenary United Methodist Church.
