Ann Therese McClellan, 81, of Traverse City, died Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.  She was born January 31, 1942, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Monroe and Lucille (Antoine) Baker.

Ann was a member of the Litte River Band of Ottawa Indians; she was proud of her Native American heritage.  Ann was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Traverse City.  Her unwavering faith sustained her through the good times and the bad times in her life.  Ann will be remembered as a strong and loving mother who put her family first.

Ann is survived by: her children, Elizabeth (Brian Annis) McClellan of Traverse City, Karl (Wendy) McClellan of Manistee, Lucille (Dale) Hunter of Williamsburg, Tina (Phil) Payment of Interlochen, Kimberly McClellan, and Christopher (Karen) McClellan; grandchildren, Brandon (Arnas) Pocius, Emily Acre, Karl Anthony McClellan II, Ashley McClellan, Zachary Hunter, Heather McClellan, Logan Payment, Joshua McClellan, Breanna Alexander, Caleb McClellan, and Lucas McClellan; great-grandchildren, Nova and Owen; and siblings, Monica Baker of Omena and Martin Baker of Elk Rapids.

On July 10, 1960, Ann married Byron McClellan who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Private services will be held at a later date.
