Obituary

She was given the name Ann Lorraine Warrick when she was born May 21, 1933. She was the third child of parents Paul George Warrick and Martha Helena (Pakarinen/Baker) Warrick. Like so many others, she grew up during the Depression period and then during World War II. She graduated from high school, Lincoln High, in Warren (previously Van Dyke), Michigan. Her first ten working years were at Chrysler's; then she left Chrysler's to work for a small manufacturing company, National Fitting Company,  that produced components for various parts, like spark plug shells and fittings.  She ascended to the position of president of National Fitting Company in the latter 60s, quite an accomplishment for a woman during those decades. She relaxed during the weekends by boating with the love of her life, Claude Riggsbee, and they married. Lorraine enjoyed well deserved happiness and success as she continued working. She retired during the later 1980s on Drummond Island.
Claude passed away in May 1997 and Lorraine remained on Drummond Island until 2010 when she moved into an apartment located in the home of her niece, Karin Lerczak, of Traverse City, where she spent her final years.

Lorraine was intelligent, competent, and hard-working. She was a woman of strong principle. She gave sound caring advice to the members of her family when they needed it. She was generous and caring with an open mind and heart. She thoroughly enjoyed the children of her family and friends and left them with many good memories.  As a person of faith, Lorraine attended Lutheran Church and served as treasurer for the Drummond Island Lutheran Church during her later years.

Lorraine passed away Friday, February 11, 2022, at Cherry Hill Manor just west of Traverse City. She will be remembered fondly and lovingly by her family and friends. Rest in peace, Lorraine.
