Mrs. Anna Mary Osborn, age 89, of Hart, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013. She was born April 10, 1924, in Detroit, Michigan, to Henry and Anna (Lenstra) Floyd. She graduated from Detroit Mercy School of Nursing and was employed as a Registered Nurse at Oceana Hospital in Hart until her retirement in 1989. Anna married Charles Gordon Osborn on August 5, 1950, in Waterford. They were married twenty-three years when he passed away on February 14, 1974. Ann was extremely proud of the fact that all her sons graduated from Hart High School and were college educated. She lived in "The Big White House on the Corner" of Washington Street from 1955 until her passing.
Anna is survived by six sons, Tom (Kittie) Osborn of Pentwater, John (Maxine) Osborn of Sugarland, Texas, Charles (Judi) Osborn of Frisco, Texas, William (Nancy) Osborn of Worcester, Massachusetts, James (Kirsten) Osborn of Ann Arbor, and Gordon "Jeep" (Sheila) Osborn of North Muskegon; eleven grandchildren, Theresa (Bill) Schwake, Stacy (Matt) Fournier, Rachael Osborn, Weston Osborn, Ashley Osborn, Madison Osborn, Kelly Osborn, Kevin Osborn, Carlyn Osborn, Anna Osborn, Joe Osborn; three great-grandchildren, Rick Schwake, Claire Fournier, Ben Fournier; and a special niece, Eva "Boo" Gregwer of Pentwater. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, John and William Floyd.
The Memorial Service for Ann will be Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Hart Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Lorraine Boucon officiating. Interment will be in Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at King Funeral Home. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Pastoral Discretionary Fund for local needy at Hart Congregational United Church of Christ, 408 South State Street, Hart, MI 49420.
