Mrs. Anne Josephine Johnson, age 100, of Hart, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012. She was born October 6, 1911, in Oceana County, to Arthur and Georgian (Dennison) Fuller. She graduated from Hart High School and was employed at Star Watch Case in Ludington as a press operator and union steward until her retirement in 1968. She married John Johnson on July 4, 1936. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1976. She was a member of Hart Congregational United Church of Christ. Anne loved cooking, quilting, walking near the woods and along the lakeshore, and rose gardening.
Anne is survived by five daughters, Martha Barnes of Muskegon; Beverly Coulier of Grandville; Sharon (Rob) Johnson-Wiler of Whitehall; Donna (Ray) Ewing of Montague; and Barbara (Larry) Daggett of Pentwater; one son, Vivian Arthur Johnson of Hesperia; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; her son, Robert John Johnson; her Sister, Ruth Fuller and her brother, Lee Fuller.
Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be Friday, March 23, 2012, at 1:00 pm at King Funeral Home with Pastor Lorraine Boucon officiating. Interment will be in Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at King Funeral Home. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Congregational United Church of Christ, 408 S. State St., Hart, MI 49420.
