Anne (Stone) Lichliter, 70, of Glen Arbor, Michigan, passed away January 18, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bruce, her devoted husband of 40 years, was by her side.

She is survived by her beloved nephew and niece, Scott Lowery of Richfield Connecticut, and Anne (Lowery) Peterson of Lake Tahoe, California, and their families.

Anne was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Wilmette, Illinois, by her late parents George and Helen Stone with her late sister Mary (Stone) Lowrey.

After graduating from New Trier High School and Simpson College, Anne started her career in HR at Kraft Foods in Chicago. Following their marriage in 1981, Anne joined Bruce in East Lansing, Michigan, where she enjoyed a lengthy career with Weyco, Inc. They built their retirement home on Glen Lake on the site of the Stone family log cabin that is now the Cottage Book Shop in Glen Arbor.

Anne walked into a room quietly but was always noticed for her welcoming and inclusive manner, her gorgeous smile, her wicked and quick sense of humor, and her grace and beautiful sense of style. In her last years, Anne lived bravely, with hope and attitude, while continuing in the service of others.

Honoring her wishes, no services are planned at this time. Bruce asks that you honor his rare and special wife with an act of kindness to those who share your life. That would make Annie happy.
