Obituary

Anthony Hall Berry, 75, of Traverse City, passed away on September 24, 2021, after a long illness. He was born on November 23, 1945, to Martin and Mary Ann (Hall) Berry in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Tony grew up in Southern California and spent his early twenties traveling the country as a VISTA Volunteer. A lifelong student of history, Tony eventually became a teacher of the subject at Ubly and North Huron schools. In 1984, he and his wife established the Bank 1884 Restaurant in Port Austin. Tony loved all the people in his life, rock'n'roll, Porsches, good food, and good times.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn (Pettit) of Traverse City; his son, Max, of Brooklyn, New York; his brother, Martin, of Palm Desert, California; two sisters, Virginia Ann and Margaret ("Marky") and her husband Brock of Ventura, California; and seventeen nieces and nephews.

No services will be held at this time.
