Ardith Louise Austin, 95, of Whitehall, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019. She was born on July 2, 1923, the daughter of Henry and Minnie Miel.

Ardith married Gerald Austin on May 13, 1943. Together they had five children and nearly 70 years of marriage until his death in 2010. Ardith enjoyed traveling, sewing, and cooking. She was a caring, loving woman who will be deeply missed.

Ardith is survived by: her children, Jerry (Nancy) Austin, Geneice (Dave) Chester, Raymond Austin, Rebecca (Swan) Swanson, and Pamela Austin; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Ardith was preceded in death by: her husband; her parents; nine sisters; and one brother.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Monday, February 25, 2019, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service-White Lake Chapel, 413 South Mears Avenue, Whitehall, Michigan  49461.  Interment will take place in the spring at Fruitland Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fruitland Baptist Church.
