Arthur Edward Witzke, 77 passed away Monday March 19th in Whitehall Michigan. He was born on September 15, 1940 to Arthur and Anna Witzke.

When Art was 12 years old, his family moved from Chicago Il, to make a home in Montague Mi. In April 1964, Art married Sally Ann, the girl he knew many years before when he was a young boy in Chicago. She was his "Sally from the Alley"; they lived across the alley from each other in Chicago as young children. Sadly, Sally preceded him in death in 1998. In May 2005, Art married Marcia McConnell from West Virginia. Art proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1958-1962. He worked at CMI Dearborn for many years, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, spending time with friends/family, and having a cold beer.

Arthur is survived by his wife Marcia; daughter, Judi (Jim) Nienhouse; brother, Richard (Carol) Witzke; sister, Anna (Eiven) Overland; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Sally Ann; and his parents

A visitation will take place on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 11AM-1PM with military honors being given at 1pm at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service-White Lake Chapel 413 S. Mears ave.Whitehall MI 49461.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Whitehall American Legion.
