Barbara Joy Chester, 89, of Twin Lake, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019. Barbara was born May 23, 1930, the daughter of Stanton and Jenny Priest.

Barbara married Albert Chester on December 3, 1948. Together they were blessed with six children and over 40 years of marriage until his death in 1990. Barbara worked hard raising six children and working at Twin Lake Greenhouses. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, woodworking, crosswords, word searches, playing dice, eating chocolate, and sewing. She was a crafty, feisty, strong-willed, loving woman. She will be deeply missed.

Barbara is survived by: her children, Susan Igney, Pam Sali, Van (Jacqueline) Chester, Sally (Don Norkett) McAuley, Anthony Chester, and Bridget (Michael) English; 23 grandchildren and their spouses; many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Carol Priest, Jean Chester, and Mona Scouten; and brothers-in-law, David (Maudie) Chester and David Watkins.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Albert; her parents; and her brothers, Rodney and twin, Robert.

A celebration of life open house will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 27, 2019, at her home in Twin Lake. In keeping with her wishes, no formal funeral will be held.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
