Barbara June Ellis, 68, of Hart, passed away February 1, 2024, after a very short fight against cancer. She was born June 23, 1955, to the late Beech and Ruth (McDonald) Ellis.

Barb graduated from Hart High School with the class of 1973. She then went on to attend the University of Michigan for four years, and Yale Law School, where she received her Juris Doctor degree. During her career, she clerked for a Federal Judge and worked for various law firms in New York City, Harrisburg, PA, and Washington DC.

Her interests included playing flute in the HHS bands, ice skating, politics, and her loving cat, Talkie, who loved to hunt for gifts to present to Barb.

Barb will certainly be remembered and missed by her friends and family.

Graveside services will be held in the spring, at Hart Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Barbara's memory may be made to the Oceana County Animal Shelter, 2185 West Baseline Road, Shelby, MI 49455.
