Mr. Benjamin W. Stemen, age 24, died March 30, 2007. He was born August 9, 1982 in Ludington to Thomas and Dinah (Carr) Stemen. Ben had worked at Metal Technologies in Ravenna. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed basketball. Ben was a very devoted father to his son, Braeden. Ben is survived by his son, Braeden William, father, Tom (Kathy Baughan) Stemen of Mears, mother, Dinah (Doug Beasley) Stemen of White Cloud. Three brothers, Beau (Michelle) Stemen of Coos Bay, OR, Mark and Chaz Baughan, both of Eaton Rapids, MI, Braeden's mother, Lisa Johnston Merrill of Montague, special cousin, Vanessa Ramirez of Freesoil, MI. Grandparents, Joyce Carr of Hart and Gene (Mindy) Stemen of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William O. Carr and grandmother, Lily O'Neil. The Funeral Service for Ben will be held Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. from the Tate-King Funeral Home, with Pastor Earnest Cummings and Mr. Robert Baldwin officiating. Interment in Mears Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Wednesday 7-9 P.M. at the Tate-King Funeral Home and Thursday, one hour prior to service time.
