Berneice Lillian Mikkelson, 87, of Montague, died Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Spring Street Manor, in Whitehall, under the loving care of the Falhive Family. She was born September 4, 1929, in Whitehall, the daughter of Alvin and Alice (Fordhama) Ramthun.

Berneice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who loved working in her yard, baking and going shopping with her granddaughter. Most of all, Berneice loved spending time with her family. Berneice was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Berneice is survived by: her son, Michael (Char) Stark of New Era; her daughters, Cynthia (Tony Robertson) Hodge of Fort Myers, Florida, and Darlene (Timothy) Heistand of Montague; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty (Wayne) Friday of Montague; her sister-in-law, Marge (Dale) Meinert of Shelby; her brother-in-law, Marv Lipka of Montague; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Berneice was preceded in death by: her husband, Donald Mikkelson in 1995; 2 sisters, Delores and Eleanor; and her brother, Alvin Jr.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, in Whitehall, is in charge of arrangements.
