Beth Ellen Colby Babcock passed away on May 3, 2022, with family present. She was at White Lake Assisted Living, under Harbor Hospice Care for a few months.  She was living independently at her home in Whitehall for over 60 years.

Beth enjoyed her life in the White Lake area. She was active in the Girl Scouts, White Lake Woman's Club and a devoted member of the White Lake Congregational United Church of Christ, where she sang alto in the choir for over 50 years. She enjoyed working for Whitehall Public Schools for many years, making lifelong friends. With her summers off, the family would travel all over the country in their Wheel camper.  Many memories were made at Ludington State Park. She and Roger maintained a beautiful, large garden, enjoying the outdoors and watching the birds.

She was born in Mason County, on the farm, delivered by her father, Charles Colby, July 24, 1932. She is preceded in death by: her father; mother, Lou Beth Taylor Colby; four siblings, Merton, Lloyd, Dale, and Lois; her beloved husband, Roger in 2010; and two infant children.

Beth will be dearly missed by her surviving family: Kevin and Darcy Babcock, Karen Babcock and Richard Sallee; grandchildren, Kelly and Taylor; beloved nieces and nephews; her church family; and many friends in the community as well.

A celebration of her life will be held this fall. An announcement will be posted.
