Mrs. Beth Marie Conkle, age 58, of Pentwater, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012. She was born January 21, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois to Harold and Vivian (Zeitz) Thommen. She married James Conkle in Hart on November 5, 2004. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren very much. She was also known to like the color purple and her vanity license plate read "purple grandma".
Beth is survived by her husband, James Conkle; her children, Morgan (Jonathan) Witmer of Muskegon, and John (Stephanie) Thommen of Walkerville; her step-children, Lisa (Roger) Wiegand of Mears and Jim (Tonya) Curtis of Lakewood; her grandchildren, Ian Thommen, Adelyn and Vivian Witmer; her step-grandchildren, Ashleigh and Andrew Wiegand and Noah Curtis; four sisters, Amy Thommen of Muskegon, Laura (Bob) Fisher of Walkerville, Leah (Mark) Geile of Fruitport, and Anna (Joey) Burns of Muskegon; three brothers, John (Cathy) Thommen of Walkerville, Jim (Barb) Thommen of Walkerville, and Harold (Kendra) Thommen of Whitehall. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The memorial service for Mrs. Conkle will be held Monday, June 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Walkerville Wesleyan Church with Pastor Bob Abbott officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 2-5 p.m. at the King Funeral Home. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Crystal Valley Care Fund, PO Box 451, Hart, MI 49420.
