Obituary

Betty Louise Jobbins, 84, of Pentwater, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020. She was born June 10, 1936, in Boyne City, the daughter of Jesse and Pearl Phillips.

Betty was a skilled craftswoman who enjoyed crocheting, knitting, ceramics, and sewing; even constructing her children's Halloween costumes. She also enjoyed watching and collecting Betty Boop merchandise, gardening, and traveling with her husband, especially out west to Quartzsite, Arizona. Betty was a devoted homemaker and had previously been a school bus driver for Pentwater and Hart Public Schools. She was a devout Christian and was a member of Shelby Road Baptist Church.

Betty is survived by: her children, Jesse (Loretta Stewart) Jobbins, Fredrick Jobbins, Henry Jobbins, Allan (Tammy) Jobbins, Tracy Jobbins, Jerry (Cheryl) Jobbins, Larry Jobbins, Betty Lynn (Robert) Woodbury, and Daniel Jobbins; 29 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sisters, Barb Lange and Judy Kroll.

On October 17, 1955, Betty married Fredrick R. Jobbins, and he preceded her in death on January 11, 2010. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Jobbins; sister, Joann Hard; and brothers, Danny Phillips and Jesse Phillips.

In accordance with Betty's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
