Mrs. Betty E. Patton, age 81, of Hesperia, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in Muskegon. She was born April 7, 1934, in Oceana County, to Orcen and Anna (Plaunt) Croff. She was employed at the Jobst Company of Toledo, Ohio and was a field worker, until her retirement. She was married to Richard Patton in Crystal Township, Michigan and he preceded her in death in 2013.
Betty was a very talented musician, playing many instruments including the piano. She loved also to sing and was an artisan painter.
Betty is survived by one daughter: Carmen Croff of Hesperia; one son: Michael Croff of Walkerville. She also has three grandchildren, David Richter, Daniel Nelson, and Corrina Vallier; one great grandson, Jayce Nelson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Patton, daughter, Diana "Dee" Patterson, two grandsons, A.J. Patterson, and Dale Richter; granddaughter, Tonya Patterson; great grandson, Joshua Richter; brother, Arnold Croff, and sister, Nancy Jacobs.
The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Patton will be Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 4:00 pm at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Hart with Pastor Zawdie Abiade officiating. Interment will be made in the Ferry Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at King Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A reception following the service will be held at the home of Sharon Riggs, 301 N. 112th Ave, Hart. Those who are wishing to attend are asked to bring their favorite dish to pass.
