Bobbi Jo (Purdy) Barrett, 40, of Hesperia, passed away unexpectedly at home September 9, 2023. She was born October 12, 1982, in Fremont, the daughter of Edward Purdy and Wanda (Shull) Burnham.

Bobbi was a graduate of Hesperia High School, class of 2000. She joined John Barrett in marriage in 2017. Bobbi was a nurse's aide in Michigan and Maryland, where she lived for a short time.

Bobbi is survived by: her husband, John Barrett; parents, Wanda and John Burnham; father-in-law, Michael Barrett Sr.; mother-in-law, Inge Barrett; children, Caige (Elena) Purdy and Tandyn Hall; brothers, Allen (Julie) Purdy, Larry Purdy, Tom Purdy, Dale (Alice) Purdy, and Jim (Jean) Fuller; sisters,  Rosemary Smith, Linda (Steve) Hill, June (Gary) Stanfield, Carol (Sam) Taylor, Deb (Steve) Renouf, Janice Phillips, Pat (Tim Schirmer) Crandall, and Lori (John) Fields; brothers-in law, Michael (Tammy) Barrett Jr. and Tim (Karen) Barrett; sister-in-law, Jane Fuller; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Bobbi was preceded in death by: her biological father, Edward Purdy; maternal and paternal grandparents; brothers, Kenny, Sonny, and Eddie Purdy; and LeRoy Fuller, Jr.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at New Era Bible Church, 5308 South Oceana Drive, New Era, MI 49446. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church, and a luncheon will immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist with the burial expenses; please make checks payable to Debra Renouf.
