Bobby "Bob" Ward Erickson of Traverse City, Michigan passed away on August 17 at the Munson Hospice House at the age of 85.

Bob was born in Leelanau County on June 2, 1941. He spent his teen years working for Hubble Oil, Cavalier Gas Station, and F&M Cherry Factory. He graduated from Traverse City High School in 1959 and married Leah Bright on November 24, 1961. As an adult, he worked for Traverse City Window Cleaning but ultimately spent 37 years at Cone Drive and retired in 2001.

The people who knew him best will remember how much he loved shooting his guns, riding his motorcycles and snowmobiles, and watching his John Wayne movies. We will remember him most for how well he provided for his family and how he was always making us laugh.

He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Marjorie Erickson, daughter Cristine Erickson, and Son in Law Paul Buckler. He is survived by his wife Leah Erickson, daughters Shawn (Randy) Weber and Sherry Buckler, grandchildren Kristina (Kate) Mason, Jennifer Lewis, Travis (Brandi) Weber, and Corey Weber, and many beloved great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Per Bob's request, no funeral will be held at this time. He will be laid to rest at East Kasson Cemetery, and a small celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Munson Hospice House are welcomed.
