Bonnie Jean Kelsey, 96, or Traverse City, passed away November 19, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

Bonnie was a loving wife, devoted mother of six, and adored grandmother and great-grandmother.  She loved spending time with her family, and church family as well.  As a retired librarian, she loved to read books, walk the beach looking for Petoskey stones, and loved playing games and cards, where she always was a winner.

Bonnie is survived by sister-in-law Marlene Walbourn, her children, Sandra (Joe) Curelo, and their children Marci, Joel, and Mindy; Debbie (Mike) Hafner, and their children, Brooke and Bryce; Michelle (Donald) Bowers, and daughter Courtenay; Donald (Marjorie) Kelsey, and their children Dave, Kate and Laura; Pat (Patt) Kelsey and their children Ben, Heidi and Hannah; and Joy (Greg) Parker and their children Ryan and Kirk.  She is also survived by 35 great-grandchildren.

Bonnie was preceded in death by parents, Marie and Gilbert Walbourn, her brothers, Gilbert, James and Dewayne, as well as her husband of 56 years, Donald W. Kelsey.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Traverse City Church of Christ, with a luncheon to follow.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until time of services at the church.
