IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bonnie
Medendorp
April 18, 1937 – June 25, 2022
Bonnie Caroline Anderson Medendorp passed away, at the age of 85, on June 25, 2022. Bonnie was born April 18, 1937, in Elberta, Michigan. Her loving parents were Mina and Arthur Anderson who also had five other children: Max, Ken, Marilyn, Skip, and Dick.
Bonnie grew up loving the outdoors and being in the sun. She enjoyed playing sports, which included cheerleading and basketball; she was a fantastic athlete. Bonnie was a very avid and talented bowler. She was also a social butterfly, as many people know, and could often be found mingling at the White Lake Eagles, the Muskegon Vikings, and earlier years at the Red Hat Society.
One thing everyone will remember about Bonnie is her smile and her loving nature. She loved everyone. Her and her husband, William (Bill) Medendorp, who preceded her in death, often invited many of their friends and family to their cottage on the Betsie River, where they started a tubing tradition that lasted for many wonderful summers.
Bonnie and Bill were married on January 25, 1963, and celebrated many happy years together. She earned her teaching certificate, taught for a few years, then went to Muskegon Business College where she graduated. She worked at a local bank and spent the majority of her career as the Payroll Coordinator at Whitehall District Schools, where she made many lifelong friends.
Bonnie is survived by: her children, Kip (Ingram) Medendorp (grandson Dylan) and Kurt (Barb) Medendorp (granddaughter Kiley); along with her siblings, Skip and Dick Anderson.
In accordance with Bonnie's wishes, she requested no service. If you would like to make a memorial contribution in her name, please consider the Alzheimer's Association at AlZ.org.
The family thanks everyone who helped make Bonnie's life full of love.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
