Mr. Boyd F. Trommater, age 82, died Sunday January 20, 2008. He was born in Hart on July 24, 1925 to Alfred and Esther (Kool) Trommater. He was united in marriage to Priscilla Eisenlohr in Hart on November 28, 1969. Mr. Trommater was a fruit farmer and had obtained a B.S. degree from Michigan State University. He was very active in many cherry grower organizations. Mr. Trommater served his country during W.W. II in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Hart United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir. Mr. Trommater is survived by his wife of 38 years, Priscilla Trommater of Hart; their children, Lyn (Paul) Kolb of Ludington, Kathy (Mike) Aebig of Shelby, Laura (Doug) Reed of Bloomingdale, MI and Dan (Katy) Trommater of Toronto, Canada; four grandchildren, Matthew (Jen) Kolb of East Lansing, Abigail Kolb of East Lansing, Tommy Aebig of Shelby and Molly Aebig of Shelby; three great grandchildren, Luke, Lillian and Charlie Kolb, all of East Lansing; one sister, Kaye (Chuck) Adams of Grant, MI; one brother, Jack (Kay) Trommater of Denver, CO; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Carroll Trommater. The Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from the Hart United Methodist Church with Pastor Ben B. Lester officiating. Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the service at church. Memorial contributions may be given to the Hart United Methodist Church.
