Obituary

Mr. Bruce Robert Fotis, age 57, of Rothbury, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013. He was born August 11, 1955, in Muskegon to Frank and Kay (Stewart) Fotis. He played football in high school for the Holton Red Devils. After graduating from Holton High School in the class of 1973, he served in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corps. Bruce married Karla Gebolis on August 11, 2010, in Hart. He was employed at Beatie Brothers doing construction work. Bruce enjoyed hunting and fishing and was very family oriented.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Karla Fotis; six daughters, Mandy Fotis of Holton, Miranda Fotis of St. Louis, Missouri, Jennifer (Raymond Hill, Fiancé) Vermuelen of Ravenna, Rachel Vermuelen of Florida, Nicole Vermuelen of Rothbury, and Andrea Vermuelen of Rothbury; and one son, Sean (Rosie Huerta, Fiancée) Vermuelen of Rothbury; his mother Kay Wood; three sisters, Patty Brooks, Leslie (Steve) Borgman and Cathy Eder; six brothers: Garry (Deb) Robbins, Frank Fotis, Jeff Robbins, Doug (Lorrie) Robbins, Joe (Teresa) Fotis, and Rob Wood. He also has nineteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Fotis; daughter, Gabrielle Fotis; sisters, Dawn Fotis and Kelly Fotis; brother, Ricky Fotis; and step-mother, Marlene Fotis, who married Frank and together raised Bruce and his siblings.

The Memorial Service for Mr. Fotis will be Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at King Funeral Home with the Rev. Guy Rayle officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday one hour prior to the service. The family requests that any memorials be directed to the King Funeral Home for service expenses.
