Bruce George Shepherd Sr., 71, of Whitehall, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021. He was born February 12, 1949, in Muskegon, the son of the late Robert and Eleanor Shepherd.

Bruce proudly served his country in the US Army, and later worked for his parent's garage door business, Shepherd Door Company. Following their retirement, he owned and operated the business for many years. He was also previously a volunteer firefighter for the Norton Shores Fire Department.

Bruce is remembered as being funny and good humored. He loved to tell jokes and was able to get anybody laughing. He was a skilled carpenter, doing much of his home's trim work and various projects himself.

Bruce is survived by: his wife of 33 years, Cynthia Shepherd; children, Tammy (Newt) Little, Cassie (Chubby) Lowe, Bruce Jr. "George" (Cheryl) Shepherd, Kendra Sizemore, and Troy Ramsvig; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Sue (Gordy) Prell; and brothers, Gary (Barb) Shepherd and John (Marsha) Shepherd.

In accordance with Bruce's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
