Mr. Calvin Samuel Crimp, age 87, of Pentwater, MI passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017. He was born May 2, 1930, in Detroit, MI to Cyril and Lillian (Skinner) Crimp. He was a graduate of Michigan State University, earning a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Calvin married Mary Jane Bradshaw on May 10, 1952 in Detroit. They had just celebrated their sixty-fifth wedding anniversary.

Calvin was employed by Bell Telephone Company for thirty years. He was a member of the Hart Rotary Club and the Centenary United Methodist Church. Calvin and Mary Jane enjoyed dancing with the Melody Mates Square Dancing, Lake Michigan, flower & vegetable gardening (impatiens & daffodils), and winters in Port St. Joe, Florida. They traveled extensively in Europe & United States.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Crimp; one daughter, Kathy (Joe) Policoro of Bozeman, MT; two sons, Marty (Liz Foster) Crimp of East Lansing, MI and Tom (Kris) Crimp of Rockford, MI; six grandchildren, Rebekah (John) Kovarik, Tami (Nate) Majszak, Meredith Baumann, Madeleine Crimp, Max (Corey) Crimp, Mitch Crimp; four great-grandchildren, Kyah, Bella, Juliana, Evan; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Bernice Donaldson and Christine Stomp.

The graveside service for Mr. Crimp will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Pentwater Township Cemetery in Pentwater with Pastor Blaine Rader officiating.
