Carl Eric Everett, 61, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025. He was born on April 5, 1964, in Muskegon, the son of Dale and Judy (Bushaw) Funnel.

Carl worked as a mechanic for many years and was known for his incredible work ethic, loyalty, and dedication. Carl took pride in his work and was always willing to lend a hand to others — he truly had a servant's heart.

Though he worked hard, Carl found joy in the simple things. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was funny, witty, and kind — someone who truly put others before himself, expecting nothing in return. Whether it was lending a hand, offering encouragement or quietly helping those in need. He was the best dad, a loving grandpa, and a devoted friend.

Carl is survived by: his children, Naomi Varela, Eric (Katie) Everett, Cody (Alicia) Everett, and Austin Everett, who worked alongside his dad and shared a special bond with him; his beloved grandchildren, Cara, Mason, Logan, Dylan, Aydan, Prestan, Remington, Mitchell, Jordan, and Trenton; and his best friend, Dan Greve, who was by his side and visited him often throughout his illness this past month.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, 413 South Mears Avenue, Whitehall, MI 49461.
