Mrs. Carol Jean Fellows, age 79, of Ludington, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016. She was born January 19, 1937, in Ludington to Wallace and Engriad (Osterlund) Kuras. She was a homemaker and obtained her Associates Degree from Central Michigan University. Carol married John S. Fellows in Ludington on June 20, 1959.

Carol was very devoted to her family. She loved all her grandchildren and enjoyed attending all of their activities and events. Carol had a competitive spirit, which was well known within her duplicate bridge circles. Carol also liked meeting with her coffee group ladies each week. She also had a love for baking. Her blueberry pies were the classic favorite of her sons in law.

Carol is survived by her husband: John Fellows of Ludington; four daughters: Deborah (John) Roster of Traverse City, Sherry (Dan) Begue of Muskegon, Susan (Robert) Fiacco of Sunderlund, Maryland and Lisa (Dr. John) Cooney of Ludington; she also has nine grandchildren, Travis Roster, Kristin Hentschel, Phillip Roster, Derek Begue, Rose Fiacco, Jack Fiacco, Joshua Cooney, Caroline Cooney, Sophia Cooney; four great grandchildren, Hailee Hentschel, Ella Hentschel, Brady Nash, Addisyn Nash. She was preceded in death by her father Wallace Kuras, mother, Engriad (Kuras) Cloutier, her granddaughter, Danielle Nash; her brother, Wallace Kuras.

The Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Fellows will be offered Monday, May 23, 2016, at 11:00 am at St. Simon Catholic Church with Father Wayne B. Wheeler Jr. presiding. Visitation will be Monday one hour prior to the service at St. Simon Catholic Church, 702 East Bryant Road, Ludington. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital Cancer and Hematology Center, 1 North Atkinson Drive, Ludington, MI 49431, to assist local cancer patients.
