Carolyn Louise Botbyl, 87, of Muskegon, passed away peacefully at White Lake Assisted Living. She was born in Laurel, MS the oldest daughter of Paul and Lottie Staples.

Carolyn moved to Muskegon as a teenager and worked at Hanson's restaurant.  She also worked at Brenaman Hartshorn, and sold Satellite Dish equipment.  She enjoyed HAM radio, golfing, shuffleboard, and gardening.

She is survived by: her children, Brian (Kathy) Botbyl, Brad Botbyl, Bretta DeRouin all of Muskegon area, and Brent (Becky) Botbyl of Bertram, TX; brother, Paul (Peggy) Staples of Arizona; sisters, Ginger (Bob) Dunham of Florida, Sue (Don) Berry of Whitehall; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be no services at the request of Carolyn's family.
