Catherine "Cathy" Susan Seelhoff, 65, of Ludington, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 4, 1952, in Ludington, the daughter of Kenneth and Wilma (Tacktor) Olson.
Cathy was loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend who was very proud of her 24 years of sobriety and of all her AA family. She was a member of the Ludington Boat Club where she was on the team that chaired the Ludington Boat Club's Benefit for Hospice, helping to raise over $165,000 in the 20 plus years she was involved. Cathy was also an instrumental member of the Ludington Mural Society. In her spare time, Cathy enjoyed bowling, fishing, traveling to the Upper Peninsula and doing numerous craft projects.
On October 28, 1978, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Ludington, Cathy married Robert B. Seelhoff, who survives her. She is also survived by: her siblings, Nancy (Jerry) McAnnally of The Villages, Florida, Warren (Gail) Olson of Grand Rapids, and Christine Olson of Ludington; her mother-in-law, Lenore Westrate; her sister-in-law, Jane Seelhoff of Mears; her nieces and nephews, Michael Olson of Ludington, Tom (Kandi) McAnnally of Clarkston, Steve (Kate) McAnnally of Arvada, Colorado, Jonathan Olson of Grand Rapids, Amanda Olson of Milwaukee, Michelle (Thomas) Mattson of Hart, Sean (Delena) Seelhoff of Norton Shores, and David (Kirstin) Seelhoff of Rockford; 2 great-nieces, Maddie and Linnea; 2 great-nephews, Lars and John; her best-friend, Karen Bradley of Ontonagon; and her dear Pikachu, Emmie.
Cathy was preceded in death by: her parents; her father-in-law, Marvin Westrate; and her brother-in-law, John Seelhoff.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 9, 2017, at the King Event Center, 301 North Jebavy Ave., Ludington. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11:00 AM until time of services..
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
