Mrs. Cecilia C. Kokx, age 91, died March 21, 2008. She was born in Weare Township on December 17, 1916 to Joseph and Frances (Krause) Greiner. She married Mathew Kokx in Weare on August 13, 1935 and he preceded her in death on January 9, 1982. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church-Weare and the Altar Society of the church. Her interests were playing Bingo, raising her family and farming in Crystal Valley. Cecilia was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to all her family. She is survived by her two sons, Eugene (Pauline) Kokx, Sr. of Ludington and Ronald (Lillian) Kokx of Hart; grandchildren David (Pamela) Kokx of Hart, Julie (Richard) Wadel of Hart, Mark (Teresa) Kokx of Scottville, Eugene (Teresa) Kokx, Jr. of Hart, Pam (Steve) Welsh of Rockford, MI, Rhonda (Scott) Greiner of Hart, Kristine (Tom) Sape of Bloomfield Hills, MI and Michael (Fran) Kokx of East Grand Rapids, MI; 23 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 sisters, Theresa Aerts, Bernadette (Eddie) Dennert, Eleanore Lydens, and Virginia (Cecil) Dennert, all of Hart. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Hubert J. Kokx, grandson, Joseph Kokx, 2 sisters, Mamie Kokx and Lillian Kokx, 3 brothers, Francis (Pope) Greiner, Michael Greiner and Harold Greiner. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Anton Tran presiding. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6-9 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Visitation Saturday one hour prior the Mass. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund or to Oceana County Medical Care Facility.
