On Sunday, April 29, 2018, Chad Michael Grinwis, beloved husband, father, and son, passed away at Spectrum Health Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids at age 46. He was born January 4, 1972, in New Era, the son of Gary and Mary (TenBrink) Grinwis.

Chad is survived by: his wife, Carrie; sons, Drew and Jake; his parents, Gary and Mary Grinwis of New Era; his grandmother, Wanda Grinwis; his sister, Quinn Maynard of New Era; his nephew, Reid Maynard; his in-laws Robert and Linda Hough of Whitehall and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Chad was preceded in death by: his paternal grandparents, Dale and Virginia Grinwis; and his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Doris TenBrink.

Chad was an architect for 23 years, he took great pride in his work and enjoyed mentoring co-workers. He employed his gifts at Hooker DeJong, in Muskegon, as a partner and senior architect.  He enjoyed the outdoors and spending his available time with his family and was an amazing BBQ connoisseur.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Evangelical Covenant Church, in Whitehall, with Pastor Tom Beeghly officiating. Cards to share your memories of Chad will be available at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Drew and Jake's College Funds.
