 Charles “Chuck” John Carson, 83, passed away peacefully, in his own home on March 5, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 8, 1943, in Muskegon, the son of Fred and Pauline (Miel) Carson.

Chuck was a lifelong resident of Fruitland Township, he married Vida Botruff in 1970, and worked at Whitehall Leather Company for 18 years before his health limited his career.

Chuck is survived by: children, Richard (Ellen) Felber, Cheryl Hite, Carrol (Dave) Sparks, and Sandy (Greg) Simmons; grandchildren, Allen Hite, Shelly Modrow, Hollie Felber, Patrick Hite, Bryan Felber, Jody Villerot, Stephen Ruud, Joshuya Simmons, and Samantha Wilson; siblings, Paul and Patty Carson; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Chuck was preceded in death by: parents, Fred and Pauline (Miel) Carson; wife, Vida E. Carson; sisters, Donna Hein, Mary Bernhardt, Ruth McClellan, Bessie Bernhardt; brothers, Leo Johnson, Melvin Johnson, Harvey Carson, and Pat Carson; and granddaughter, Jennifer Langlois.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Fruitland Covenant Church, 4283 N Webber Rd. Whitehall, MI 49461 with a luncheon immediately following services. Interment will take place in Fruitland Township Cemetery at a later date.

Beacon Cremation &Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
