Charles "Chuck" Flagstead, age 80, of Montague, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Chuck was born on April 28, 1938 to Harold and Elizabeth Flagstead.

Chuck served his country proudly in the US Army. In 1970 he married Carolyn Schultz. Together they enjoyed 48 years of marriage. Chuck worked at Howmet for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching sports, camping, and Friday night fish fries. The greatest joy in his life was always his family. He was a kind, helpful, giving man with a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Frank Flagstead; grandchildren, Casey Flagstead, Rachel (Kevin) Harrie, Emmalee Flagstead and Kevin Flagstead; and many other special family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Chuck; parents; brother, Harold; and his dog, Sassy.

In keeping with Chuck's wishes a private celebration of his life will take place in the spring of 2019.
