Charles "Ike" John Budzynski, 89, of Ludington, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Tendercare of Ludington.  He was born March 20, 1928, in Grand Rapids, the son of John and Emma (Baushke) Budzynski.

Ike as was Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Marine Corps, and was a member of the American Legion Post 76 in Ludington.

Ike retired in 1983 as a general production foreman at Harbison-Walker Refractories where he was employed for 26 years.  Afterwards, Ike worked as a consultant on multi-hearth furnaces traveling throughout the United States and Canada.

In his spare time, Ike was avid Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions fan and hunter.

On October 19, 1979, in Branch, Ike married Charlene Ann Svidron who survives him.  He is also survived by: his children, Doug (Jayne) Budzynski of Scottville, Dan (Mary Beth) Budzynski of Mount Vernon, Washington, Debra (Conrad) Hall of Fairbanks, Alaska; Donna (Arlie) Fredrickson of Manistee, and Dennis (Mindy) Budzynski of Wimauma, Florida; his step-son, Charles Kraus of Ludington; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ike was preceded in death by: his parents; his first wife, Audrey Budzynski on December 23, 1978; his sister, Dorothy VanSickle; and his brother-in-law, Robert VanSickle.

A time to celebrate Ike's life will be held on May 6, 2018, from 2-4 PM, at Lincoln Hills Golf Club, 1527 N. Lakeshore Drive, Ludington, Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 76.
