Noel Perry
December 10, 1962 – February 12, 2020
Charles "Chuck" Noel Perry, formerly of Macomb County, and for the past 29 years of Benzie County, died February 12, 2020, at Paul Oliver Living and Rehabilitation Center, in Frankfort, with close friend Jim Howell and son Zach by his side. He was born on December 10, 1962, at St. Joseph Hospital (East) in Mt. Clemens, the son of Leo Charles and Annette (Beger) Perry.
Chuck graduated from Macomb Community College with a Liberal Arts Degree and a degree in Mortuary Science from Wayne State University in May of 1990. He served his apprenticeship at Faulmann-Walsh Funeral Home in Fraser. He accepted a position after graduation with the Bennett-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Beulah. Later, he accepted a position at McElduff Funeral Homes where he served until 2000. He will be remembered by all the families he served throughout the funeral business.
Chuck ran unsuccessfully as a commissioner for Benzie County. He was very community-minded and oriented and was a member of the following organizations: former president of the Kiwanis Club of Crystal Lake, Beulah/Benzonia Lions Club, and Benzie Sportsman Club.
Chuck enjoyed hunting, baseball, coaching little league baseball, and numerous other occasions with his children. He also loved playing on the computer, having parties with friends, collecting sports cards, and playing in a classic rock band.
Chuck is survived by: his sister, Jennifer (Paul) Gelinski of St. Clair Shores; his children, Zachary Charles and Alexis Ann Perry, both of Benzonia; close family friend Jim (Wendy) Howell; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
He was preceeded in death by: his parents, Leo and Annette Perry; and brother, Jeffrey Scott Perry.
Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 21, 2020, at St. Margaret of Scotland Parish, 21201 East 13 Mile Road, St. Clair Shores, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will take place in the Blaine Township Cemetery, in Arcadia, in the spring. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 16, 2020, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Frankfort Chapel, 1132 Main Street, Frankfort.
