Mr. Charlie Roy Slough, age 56, of Hart, MI, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014. He was born June 23, 1958, in Mission, TX to Alphia Howard and Sara (DeLuna) Slough, Sr. He was a construction worker. "Parcus" was a compassionate person who enjoyed helping others; he loved animals, especially dogs. Charlie is survived by his children, Brenda Lee Jaramillo and Alphia Howard Slough, both of Edinburg, TX; his step-children, Alicia Ortega of Houston, TX, Jose Marquin of San Juan, TX, Claudia Delvalle of Homestead, FL, Omar Marquin of McAllen, TX, and Carol Garces of Edinburg, TX; three sisters, Sara Magallan of Hart, MI, Jesusa Abrego of Falfurrias, TX, and Odlia Perez of Falfurrias, TX; four brothers, Alphia Slough, Jr. of Walkerville, MI, Albert Slough of Walkerville, MI, Ronnie Slough of Pharr, TX, Rolando Perez of San Juan, TX; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Robert Perez, Olivia Abrego, Ofelia Benvides, Armondo Abrego, and Robert Lee Slough. Visitation will be Friday, September 12, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton Road, Edinburg, TX 78539, followed by a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at the Palm Valley Memorial Garden, 4607 North Sugar Road, Pharr, TX, 78577.
