Cherie Michelle Scott, 73, of Ludington, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born March 6, 1950, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Nicholas and Viola (Mead) Matzen.

Cherie's faith in Jesus Christ was the most important aspect of her life. She always tried to base her decisions upon those beliefs.

Cherie is survived by: her daughters, Amy (Dennis) Pider of Ludington, and Stacey (Chris) Carpin of Holland; 5 grandchildren, Merecedes Williamson, Jaden Pider, Cassidy (Nathan Flores) Pider, Sophia Carpin, and Christopher Carpin; 4 great-grandchildren, Onaleigh, Quinn, Maverick and Emerson; 3 siblings, Steve, Wanda and Dixie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cherie was preceded in death by: her husband, Brent Charles Scott in 2019; and 6 siblings, Robert, Dawn, Mickey, Frosty, John, and Lonnie.

A celebration of life reception will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 1:30-3:00 PM, at Radiant Church in Ludington.

Memorial contributions may be made to Radiant Church youth ministries.
