Cheryl Ann Corpe, 66, of Traverse City, died Friday, August 27, 2021, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.  She was born December 4, 1954, in Traverse City, the daughter of Alfred and Dora (O'Neal) Kaley.

Cheryl was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver to many.  She enjoyed quiet moments spent watching the birds.  She showed her love for others through food and loved to cook for those she cared about.  She was best known for her caramel corn.  Cheryl made the good stuff, never skimping on gooey caramel or cashews.  Most of all, Cheryl loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

Cheryl is survived by: her children, Christine (Cody) Kelley of Traverse City, Andrew (Amanda) Corpe of Traverse City, and Herb Theodore of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Hailey, Abbigail, and Aiden Corpe and Alexis and Hannah Kelley; and brothers, Roger and Richard Kaley.

On December 1, 1984, Cheryl married John Corpe who preceded her in death in 2014.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
