Christine Huizenga, 91, of Hart, went to be with her faithful Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 8, 2022.  She was born December 1, 1930, in Oaklawn, Illinois, the daughter of Richard and Anna (Terpstra) Kort.

On December 5, 1954 Christine married the love of her life, Clarence Huizenga Jr., and they spent 67 wonderful years together. She worked as a secretary for Trinity Christian College, retiring in 1991.  While there, she was known as the "College Match Maker." During retirement Christine and Clarence traveled extensively, spending 17 years with the group SOWERS, Servants On Wheels Ever Ready.  She enjoyed crocheting and baking, her specialty was a Dutch teat called Bonket, an almond pastry. Christine also worked at Grace Youth Camp, but did not do any match making as she worked with younger children.

Christine is survived by: her loving husband, Clarence Huizenga Jr.; children, Clarence III (Jenn) Huizenga of Manhattan, Illinois, and Chad (Christi) Huizenga of Hart; sister, Treesa Boerma; grandchildren, Clare, Sarah, Jenna, twins Amy and Paul, Martha, Becca, Ben, Isaac, Caleb, Matt, Camron, Esther, Joshua, Lydia, and Micah; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Christine was preceded in death by: her parents; and siblings, Henrietta, Edith, Henry, and Charles.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 11, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Hart, 3258 North 72nd Avenue, Hart, MI  49420, with Pastor Mark Looman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at a later date in Hart Cemetery.
