Colleen Sue Simsa, 69, of Traverse City, passed away at home unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, April 29, 2021.  She was born December 19, 1951, in Grawn, the daughter of Edward and Rose (Michels) Simsa.

Colleen attended Michigan School for the Deaf in Flint, later working at Meijer and the U.S. Post Office.  She volunteered at Father Fred and was an active member of East Bay Calvary church in Traverse City.  She was very content with the simple things life offered and enjoyed watching all types of sports, reading, art, and pursuing genealogy involving her family tree.

Colleen is survived by: her siblings, Rod (Renate) Simsa, Royce Simsa, and Rodetta Harrand; her nieces and nephews, Jeff (Teresa) Simsa, Greg (Kay) Simsa, Wes (Lindsey) Harrand, and Holly (Doug) Gallagher; and several great-nieces and nephews whom she enjoyed, especially at holiday family events.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bryan (Yvonne) Simsa.

Arrangements will be private.  Interment will take place in St. Mary of Hannah Cemetery.
