Mrs. Constance Ellen "Connie" Kokx, age 79, of Hart, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014. She was born April 7, 1935, in Imlay City, Michigan, to Ray and Florence (Boeneman) Woodworth. Connie married Hubert Kokx on March 24, 1983, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Weare; he preceded her in death in on September 17, 2002. Connie enjoyed playing cards, doing word search puzzles and needlework, dancing, following the Detroit Tigers, and family get-togethers. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Constance is survived by four daughters, Theressa (Mike) McCulley of Pentwater, Pamela (David) Kokx of Crystal Valley, Linda (Jim) Ball of Hart, and Angela Kirwin of Walkerville; three sons, Randy (Michelle) McCulley of Crystal Valley, Leo (Leslie) McCulley III of Hart and Daniel (Dana) McCulley of Hart; one sister, Carole (Doug) Nelson of Au Gres, Michigan; two brothers, Ronald (Betty) Woodworth and Larry Woodworth, both of Attica, Michigan; three step-children, David (Pam) Kokx of Crystal Valley, Julie (Rick) Wadel of Hart and Mark Kokx of Ludington; twenty-five grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; a daughter, Colleen Denton; a son-in-law, Kelly Kirwin; and a brother, James Woodworth.
The Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Kokx will be offered on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Phillip Sliwinski presiding. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the King Funeral Home. Interment will be in in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family requests that any memorials be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church Altar Society, 2380 W. Jackson Rd., Hart, MI 49420.
