Curt James Gowen, 43, of Ludington, died unexpectedly Thursday, October 19, 2017, at home.  He was born February 14, 1974, in Manistee, the son of James and Burma (Leatherman) Gowen.

Curt was currently employed as a machine operator on 3 ^rd shift for Whitehall Industries in Ludington.  He was an avid U of M fan who loved playing scratch-off lottery tickets and an occasion trip to Little River Casino.

On September 4, 2015, in Ludington, Curt married Guadalupe Limon, who survives him.  He is also survived by: his son, Cameron Gowen of Traverse City; his step-son, Gary Jacobsen of Ludington; his mother, Burma Gowen of Scottville; his brothers, David Gowen of Hart, Danny Gowen of Scottville and Jeff Gowen of Scottville; his niece, Kaitlyn Gowen of Saugatuck; and his nephew, Gregory Gowen of New Hampshire.

Curt was preceded in death by: his father, James Michael Gowen; and his brother, Doug Gowen.

A time to celebrate Curt's life will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Pere Marquette Chapel, 309 S. Washington Avenue, Ludington.
