Daisy Ann Krauss, age 96, of Hart passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Oceana County Medical Care Facility. She was born October 21, 1914 in Dodge County, Georgia to John W. and Sarah (Linder) Nelson. She married John W. Krauss on June 1, 1948 in Hart and he preceded her in death August 5, 1960. Mrs. Krauss worked many years providing in home care in her community. She had been a member of the Hart Nazarene Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Dennert of Hart; grandchildren, DeeDee (Greg) McCrory of Grand Rapids, MI; Darcy (Chris) Miller, and Brandon (Stefanie) Dennert, all of McKinney, TX; former grandson-in-law, Shane (Vicki) Hasty of Hart and her children, Morgan and Corey; and great-grandchildren Matthew Hasty and Samantha Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband John, two brothers and six sisters, and son-in-law Gary Dennert.

Services for Mrs. Krauss are Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 11: 00 a.m. at the Mears United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Vanderlaan officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The family requests that any memorial contributions be directed to either the Crystal Valley Care Fund or the Good Samaritans.
