Damon Lee Crumb, of Pentwater, passed away at home on September 18, 2015. He was born November 16, 1940 to Edwin D. and Margaret (Dower) Crumb in Ithaca, New York. He attended Broome Tech in New York, the University of Detroit, and Eastern Michigan University graduating with a bachelor's degree in accounting. Damon worked for Bendix/Allied Signal as a purchasing manager until his retirement in 1995. Damon and Cathy were married September 15, 1979 in Plymouth, MI. He loved the village of Pentwater and served on the zoning board of appeals, planning commission, and the cemetery board. Damon also belonged to the Ludington Coast Guard Auxiliary for several years. He loved auto racing, vintage cars, camping, reading, his family, his many friends, his home, and his cat Emmet.
Damon leaves behind his wife, Cathy; sons, Christopher Ian (Kim), and Damon Tyler (Susan), and Sean Andrew (Bonnie); daughter, Maureen Ann; grandchildren, Ian, Andrew, Allison, Brian, Erin, Michael, Cayla and Jason; sisters, Anne Crumb, and Carolyn Margeson; brother, John "Jack" Crumb; and his faithful cat, Emmet. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Edwin Crumb.
There will be a gathering of friends and family at the King Funeral Home in Hart on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with a time of sharing beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe Hilyard officiating.
